Hout Bay Swimrisers


Halfway through January 2026
We are flying through January, the classic Latin being 'Tempus Fugit' meaning that time flees. I've been working on a photo book for the swimrisers, that will have some pictures taken over the years, and selecting a nice mix has been quite a task! At least with the blog I have the dates and years of some of the pictures. I suppose this is a good time to mention that part of the reason why I'm capturing all the pictures is because I am not planning on renewing the subscription

Rainy day and Portunus Sangionolentus (crab)
This morning was overcast and beautiful with misty clouds over Karbonkelberg. Rumour has it that there were dolphins...but I didn't see any. Later on, I fulfilled my civic duties and did a beach patrol in the rain and I was completely soaked. This picture is from the beach patrols and it offers a different view of the bay for a change. Last day of 2025
