Halfway through January 2026

We are flying through January, the classic Latin being 'Tempus Fugit' meaning that time flees.
I've been working on a photo book for the swimrisers, that will have some pictures taken over the years, and selecting a nice mix has been quite a task! At least with the blog I have the dates and years of some of the pictures.
I suppose this is a good time to mention that part of the reason why I'm capturing all the pictures is because I am not planning on renewing the subscription for the blog page when it is next due - which is in May, and I'm not sure what the blog will look like on a free version (if that is an option). I also feel that seeing that I just post a pic with some words, it might work better as a Instagram page or so. So the photobook in many ways will be the beginning of the end of the Swimriser blog.
That said, working through heaps and heaps of pictures on the WhatsApp group, the Blog, my icloud account has been very nostalgic and it's been interesting to see the patterns...so I can tell you that we always have lots of dolphins between December and April. That said, I do feel like we have more dolphins this year than even before, and that they come closer to us and stick around in the bay more. But perhaps that is just my imagination..
