Deceiving

I'm a bit disappointed with the pictures today - the sea looked mild, but the waves and the tide was strong, hence the title. I took a picture of the waves breaking on some rocks as I figured that might be represent what we felt.

I'm always a bit cautious about going in deep when there is big waves, for various reasons... I've been dumped before and it is not fun. The waves are powerful, and you never know when a rogue wave is going to knock you off your feet.

Here is some other safety pointers - as the saying goes, rather safe than sorry, and these are the days on which I need to remind myself that I'm doing it for fun, not to prove a point or to compete or to not enjoy my swim.
