Back in the water!

Today the sea hosted the best-ever 'welcome back' party! There was hardly any waves, the visibility was great, the sea was flat, the temperature felt about 15 degrees C. (We did not have a thermometer), and the company was great. I'll need to read back through the blog to see if I'm telling the truth, but it felt like the first time in weeks that there wasn't kelp, or wind or any other unpleasant experiences.

I felt a bit apprehensive when I saw all the kelp on the beach, but there was nothing in the water!

Something to note on the pictures is the difference 30 minutes make... it is dark when we go in and then the sun is just about out when we get out.

Pictures: taken at 6:55 (seeing that the winter solstice was last week, we are hoping for the sun to be out earlier soon!), if you really squint you can see one of the swimmers waiting for the rest of us.

And after the swim, note the kelp.
