The Martini Rule
We've really had a lovely run of flat seas and nice temperatures and today was no exception. There was a seal playing around and I felt a little apprehensive as there was a seal attack in the harbour area over the weekend, and the existing concerns around rabies. Luckily this seal seemed friendly and not particularly interested in us. I've had some comments after the previous blog and thought that maybe I should share some more pictures. A slightly different throwback...
Trying to look calm Today's post is something slightly different. For most of the 'noughties' I worked in pre-hospital emergency care - as flight medic on helicopters, doing mountain and sea rescue, working at sea, first on Cruise Ships and later on the Oil Rigs. Part of the job description in all of these is knowing how to save yourself (and then others) in case of a helicopter crashing into the ocean. Flat as a pancake
Yesterday the waves were big and noisy, and somehow today the conditions were perfect. This picture was taken just before 7 and you can see that the sun is coming up a little bit later from beyond the mountain - hence the shadow. Seasons are changing... I've been very slow to write this year thus far, partially because I don't always have a my phone with me to take pictures. But will try and be a bit more consistent again!
